Trinity has secured a placed in its sixth-consecutive SAAS Grand Final after a 62-49 victory this morning – a fitting victory to honour our seniors on seniors day.
Deng Manyang was poised and strong at the rim, finishing with a game-high 19 points, whilst guards Noah Villanueva amd Makai Dornford controlled the pace well and provided scoring avenues from the perimeter with 14 and 13 points respectively. Agok Panther was our fourth double-digit scorer, controlling the low block with 11 points.
Trinity’s shot selection was a feature of the game, with increased discipline allowing the team to control the game. Nazareth moved the ball well, and had enough threats from the outside to stretch Trinity’s defence and create some forced in-game adjustments, but in the end, Trinity had a little too much talent and strength, winning all four quarters and locking in a finals date with the classy St Peter’s outfit.
